Reds10 celebrates success at Buildings Awards 2024

Reds10 has won the ‘Contractor of the Year (up to £500m) Award’ and the ‘MMC Award’ at the Building Awards 2024.  

More than 1,000 of the industry’s best and brightest gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel to celebrate this year’s winners at the 30th anniversary of the event which  celebrates excellence and outstanding achievements in the construction industry.  

Reds10 are honoured to have won both awards, in acknowledgement for our work transforming the construction industry by leveraging industrialised construction and digital innovations to deliver high-performing, sustainable spaces that enable people to live, learn and thrive.   

Contractor of the Year (up to £500m)

In the past year, Reds10 has created 225 new jobs, with a focus on diversity and inclusion employing 12% apprentices or T-level students and 5.3% veterans. Our confidence and commitment to becoming the leader in industrialised delivery has seen us invest £5m in our factory to increase production capacity and enhance efficiency.  

In addition, Reds10 were recognised for our dedication to social value through our apprentice workshop, T Level programme and partnerships like our Dual Career Pathway with Hull City Ladies FC, empowering women to pursue careers in both football and construction.  

The judges said: “A major standout. They have a really strong focus on people and social value which really stood out. So many impressive achievements over the last 12 months”.  

MMC Award - Imjin Barracks SMART SLA for Army

Reds10 were recognised for delivering the groundbreaking Single Living Accommodation (SLA) project at Imjin Barracks.  

As one of Europe’s most advanced smart buildings, it achieved over 95% on the Smart Readiness Indicator, Imjin Barracks represents a significant step forward in the transformation of the lived experience for our Armed Forces.  

The judges said: “What stood out was the sustainability credentials of the project including interactive controls to help users understand their energy use and drive positive behaviour change. The judges were also impressed by user engagement to refine the product and the quality of the accommodation. Combined with gamification to drive positive behaviour and user engagement to refine the product. Also welcome is the improved social environment for the Armed Forces”.
