Project Details
Located in Leighton Buzzard, Oak Bank School works with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Their aim is to provide each of pupil with an ‘Education for Life’, by valuing and respecting them as individuals, developing their self-esteem and encouraging their individual abilities to their full potential in a caring, orderly environment. The School required its out of date Science rooms moved and refitted into a new extension block.
Reds10 were employed for a two phase project to fit in with school funding. Each 188m2 phase was delivered in 7 weeks, whilst the School was fully operational.
The new extension building is naturally vented and makes use of a brick slip system for its external cladding to match existing School buildings. Reds10 also supplied and fitted all of the Fixed Equipment for the new Science extension block, including enhancements for acoustics and one-way glass (to allow outside observation) extending the teaching environment’s potential.
'Reds10 have provided an exceptional service to the school. They have provided a bespoke solution which has massively enhanced the accommodation available to the school. From interview to completion, everyone at Reds 10 have been client centered and solution focused. They have listened to the needs of the school and interpreted these into aesthetically pleasing, functional and robust new teaching spaces.'
