Eden Girls' School, Coventry

Project Details

Part of the Tauheedul Education Trust, Eden Girls' School in Coventry, is the first new faith-based (Islamic) secondary school for girls. Welcoming applications from all faiths and none, Eden's vision is to prepare its students for 'jobs that don't yet exist, using technologies that have not yet been invented', foster a love of learning and to give its pupils the skills needed to progress to the forefront of their respective fields. Opening to 150 girls in September 2014, Eden needed to cater for the increasing number of students, as students moved through the education system, with a plan to host 500 11-16 year olds in 2017 and a further 200 sixth form students by 2018.

With this ambitious growth plan in mind, Reds10 were brought thanks to their expertise in similar projects in the educational sector, specifically in providing fit for purpose specialised teaching spaces for increasing numbers of students.

Reds10 successfully delivered a mixture of exciting new spaces, including state-of-the-art science labs, integrated teaching walls, a professional kitchen. Liaising closely with all parties involved, Reds10 were able to deliver a project - the first of 11 schemes Reds10 are set to deliver for the Tauheedul Education Trust – which matches Eden’s focus on developing team work, self-esteem, confidence and maturity within its students and allowing them to make use of the latest teaching practices across multiple subjects.

Key Benefit

Reds10 fitted state-of-the-art specialist teaching spaces, including science labs, integrated teaching walls, a professional kitchen and much more.
