Junior Accountant

Based in our London Bridge office, we are recruiting a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team to support the smooth functioning of the department by providing financial and administrative support under the direction of the Finance Manager. The role involves performing a range of administrative tasks, maintaining financial records, liaising with key suppliers, managing incoming finance calls and redirecting as appropriate. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the Finance department by maintaining organised systems and providing support to staff members.

Responsibilities Include

  • Posting Accounts Payable Ledger invoices and credit notes (Eque2 software).
  • Reconciling statements and managing remittances.
  • Processing credit card payments for office and site ad-hoc orders.
  • Processing office orders for stationery and consumables.
  • Assisting with bank and credit card reconciliation (Sage software).
  • Support the month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with London Office operations.
  • Administrating Travel Perk platform including monthly reporting, processing of invoices & statements reconciliation.
  • Keeping accurate finance records and filing systems

Key Skills Required 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using office software and systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
