The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Reds10:
We are looking for a personable, outgoing and hardworking Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at our London Headquarters.
To assist in ensuring the highest Health and Safety standard in day-to-day activities, and exercise the 'stop work' authority where safety standards are compromised. In this role, you will assist a project(s), ensuring all commercial aspects and requirements are managed and reported on in an effective way to ensure projects are running effectively and in line with the commercial strategy. You will manage the project supply chain and directly report to the Commercial Sector Lead on all commercial activities. You will ensure the project(s) has the right resources and support to ensure it achieves objectives of being on time, on budget, to the required quality and Health and Safety standards.
This position will be based in our London headquarters but will require visits to our sites, other offices, and factories for content creation purposes.
The Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Reds10:
- Identification, management and mitigation/optimisation of risk and opportunity on project(s) with the support of senior management
- Reporting of project quality and effectiveness of cost and supply chain strategies to meet time, cost, quality, carbon and social value targets
- Reporting of project costs and supply chain performance, control and reporting of all stages of project (tendering, design, manufacture, install, commissioning and operation) to agreed budgets/targets
- Project accuracy and completeness, control and management of works packages and sub-concontracts across all sector works including definition of Reds10 requirements e.g. quality, environment, health and safety
- Accurate and timely valuation of project works and cash collection
- Effective management of change with project clients and sub-contractors with support from senior management
- Aid project cost, commercial and supply chain strategy and ensure project specific strategies are pro-actively managed
- Support senior management in overseeing project costs, commercial and supply chain activities, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and cost, commercial and supply chain performance is regularly and accurately reported.
Qualifications:
- CSCS
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Member of or working towards RICS
