The Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Architectural technologist to join our design team in our Driffield offices.
As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in our end-to-end design and build company. Working collaboratively with our architects and construction teams to produce high-quality designs and technical drawings that meet the needs of our clients, the factory and sites. As well as ensuring that the technical design for each project is delivered within agreed time, cost and quality standards, aiming to Maximise project efficiency through intelligent design solutions, ensuring continuity of design to the team and buildable details.
As an Architectural Technologist your responsibilities will include:
- Create and maintain design standards and accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate and liaise with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that designs meet project requirements and standards.
- Produce accurate RIBA stage information based on contractor proposals and project requirements.
- Coordination of consultant design through to construction.
- Manage 3D coordination of multiple disciplines using BIM360 Design Suite and AEC Autodesk collection. All base design completed with Revit.
- Production and compliance of Reds10 Standard details.
- Provide technical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications/Skills
Required skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Revit.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research and an aptitude for helping other people, including a willingness to tackle problems.
- Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and build trust with all levels of teams internally and externally.
- Great attention to detail, numerically literate and able to multi-task.
- A straightforward approach, able to express information clearly and concisely.
- The ability to understand and apply feedback on work performance.
Desired qualifications
- Degree in Architectural Technology (ideally accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists)
