The Charter School of East Dulwich is a co-educational 11-18 school, serving the communities of East Dulwich and South Camberwell.
Earlier in 2016, working with the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Southwark Council, the School was appointed temporary accommodation in the Silverthorne Building, a fit-for-purpose campus on Southampton Way. Reds10 were excited to be able to help the School open the doors to its new home in September 2016, following an 8-week programme, which included fully fitting a library, art room, assembly hall and on-site dining spaces as well as extensive external works.
But, the work doesn’t stop here. Reds10 have been appointed as the School’s preferred FF&E consultants to develop a unique design for the School’s brand new facilities, into which they will be moving in September 2018. The brand new building will include state-of-the-art teaching spaces for science, design technology, art and PE.
The School have placed particular importance on the cultivation of useable outdoor space and the creation of a ‘campus’ feel, the creation of healthy spaces for work and play, including maximal use of natural light and good acoustics.
Reds10 are very excited to continue to work on this project for the Chartered School of East Dulwich and providing its pupils and staff the perfect long term home.
