Building Skills for Life at Reds10

At Reds10, apprenticeships are at the heart of how we grow our people and strengthen the future of industrialised construction. During National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we’re celebrating the individuals who bring fresh ideas, ambition and “skills for life” to our projects every day. Through real-world experience, continuous learning and a supportive culture, apprentices like Abi Taylor and Abi Neale are building confidence, capability and long-term careers—while helping drive our industry forward.

At Reds10, apprenticeships are fundamental to how we grow, innovate and build the construction workforce of the future. That’s why National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2026 is an important one in the year for us. This week, not only are we celebrating our apprentices, but we are recognising the essential role they play in shaping the way we deliver industrialised construction. This year’s theme, “Skills for Life,” perfectly reflects our belief that apprenticeships, paired with real-world experience, continuous learning and shared ideas empower people to reach their full potential.

As a business focused on pioneering industrialised construction as the future of the industry, we rely on a diverse and forward‑thinking team. Apprenticeships allow us to bring in talented individuals early, nurture their skills and give them opportunities to contribute meaningfully from day one. Our programmes blend hands‑on project work with formal qualifications, ensuring every apprentice develops both the technical capability and confidence needed to thrive. Most importantly, we encourage apprentices to challenge the status quo because at Reds10, the best ideas often come from those closest to the work.

For Abi Taylor, Project Manager at Reds10, this culture has been key to her development. “Reds10 has supported me by creating an environment where learning and responsibility go hand in hand,” she explains. From the start of her career with us, Abi has been trusted to take ownership of real project tasks alongside completing her apprenticeship, supported by colleagues committed to sharing their knowledge. Abi says, “my apprenticeship is helping me build both the technical ability and practical project experience needed for a long-term career in construction.”

Abi is certainly building the foundations for a prosperous career in the industry with her standout achievement with Reds10 so far being the major role she played in the handover of three school projects. These experiences pushed her to lead discussions, make decisions with confidence and see the direct impact of her contributions. “Each handover has shown me how much I have grown… and reinforced how powerful an apprenticeship can be in developing real leadership skills early in my career.”

For Abi Neale, HR Administrator at Reds10 who is just commencing her apprenticeship journey, the flexibility and autonomy we have offered her have helped her grow in a different way. “Reds10 has supported my apprenticeship by providing the flexibility to study alongside my role and encouraging a self‑driven approach to learning,” she says.

Managing coursework alongside her responsibilities has strengthened her perseverance, communication and independence. “It’s been a personal learning journey that has helped me grow in confidence… all skills I know will stay with me throughout my career.”
