Due to continued and robust growth, we are looking for a Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager for one of our key education project sites, to support in the delivery of amazing spaces to the highest standards of health & safety and quality.

The Role

As a Site Manager, you will assist the Senior Site Manager in the smooth and safe day-to-day running of a Reds10 site, being the first point of contact for all site management issues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate great Health & Safety stewardship, leading Reds10 Health and Safety agenda on site and exercising the stop work authority if safety standards are compromised
  • Assist the Senior Site Manager with onsite construction and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Ensure quality control checks and inspections are carried out
  • Co-ordinate and supervise construction workers including induction for new workers, issuing permits etc
  • Manage site HSE processes and performance
  • Maintain quality control procedures and ensure they are followed at all times
  • Ensure site safety by making daily safety inspections
  • Solve problems in a timely fashion
  • Source materials as required
  • Monitor and report regularly to the Senior Site Manager on the progress of a project
  • Keep the site team motivated and focussed
  • Manage soft landings plan
  • Manage testing, commissioning and inspection programme
  • Carry out evaluation and lessons learned to inform best future practice

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar role, taking responsibility for proactively resolving issues on site
  • Modular experience advantageous but not essential
  • CSCS, First Aid, SMSTS certified
  • An understanding of BIM process as it relates to on site functions
  • Great communication skills, able to build relationships and resolve conflict
  • Experience managing sub-contractors
